After a legal career in the UK and overseas, with clients including major banks, insurance companies and UK and foreign governments, I took the opportunity to retrain as a Financial Adviser with PFP Wealth and St. James's Place. My early Law roles helped people make the right choices and plan for their futures, so moving to financial services seemed natural.
I have gained a variety of qualifications in my career, including a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), as well as becoming a Chartered Manager and a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute. Recently I have completed studies from the Chartered Insurance Institute to support my move to financial services and aim to continue adding knowledge and qualifications in future, helping me give the best advice I can.
Outside work I live in York with my wife, our four teenage children and two dachshunds. In the increasingly rare time not driving children around to sports and social lives, my wife and I travel when we can, this year being lucky enough to explore Sri Lanka, as well as go to our favourite UK destination of Northumberland and the beaches of Bamburgh and surrounding areas. I am also a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts and a gym enthusiast having discovered it later in life.
